Literary Event #13

As with the building, the clothes of the king seem somehow out-of-place. During one moment, he seems dressed as the executive CEO of a large company, fancy suit and tie and all, while the next he seems little more than a tribal leader covered in war-paint. Such a layering of modern capitalistic fashion with Anglo-Saxon custom throws you for a loop. You try and think back to your studies and how and actual lord in the High and Late Middle ages would have dressed.

[Research: briefly look up how kings dressed in the Late Medieval period. In your journal, describe how you think this king would have dressed if he was receiving an audience.]
